The rumors that the new iPhone will be unveiled middle of this year has created another wave of rumors and discussions all across the Internet and continues to drag tech fanatics like yours truly into the bandwagon of gadget chatter and ESP predictions. But this time, tech gurus will surely need extra ESP to find out what Apple has in store or maybe hire a double agent to spy on Apple labs to at least get decent leak of information for the upcoming iPhone successor.
We were actually lucky with the current iPhone 4 because of the unprecedented accidental leak of an iPhone 4 proto-type that was left by a semi drunk Apple engineer who took it out to be field tested. Unfortunately for him and fortunately for us, he got a bit too excited on his birthday bash and after sending his last Facebook post via this proto-type iPhone 4, it was the last time he ever saw it. The next thing he knew, Gizmodo, a popular website was tearing the Apple pro-type apart thinking that it was an iPhone from the future since its features and design was very different from the current iPhone version of at that time which was the 3GS.
After some tedious experiments, they finally concluded that this phone was not a fake and it might just as well be a prototype of the next gen of iPhones to be released. And it sure was. Even if Steve Jobs and company didn't like that fact that Gizmodo kind of killed the excitement of the official unveiling of the iPhone 4, there was nothing much that he could do except be extra careful this time around.
As for the upcoming iPhone 5, just what can we expect from Apple with a leaked prototype? Well, there are rumors that Apple will attempt to knock off Nokia's NFC technology because so far, NFC or Near Field Communications is the direction of the future. With NFC technology in your mobile phone, you can use your Smartphone as if it was a credit card. You can buy concert tickets in an instant by "tapping" your NFC supported phone to a poster of a concert you would like to see and you can reserve and buy tickets at the very second.
Insurance companies are now considering this possibility because they are also now starting to promote iPhone 5 insurance in the UK. IPhone 5 insurance will likely have the same features of the current smart phone policies but if Apple will compete with Nokia with the NFC technology, then a variation may occur. Today, if you want to know more about the upcoming iPhone 5 and iPhone insurance, you can already have glimpse; the real score will most likely be June or July of 2011.
